Domin are looking for a driven and motivated person to join a fast growing, engineering focussed technology firm based in the centre of Bristol.
We are looking for a Director of Valve Sales to lead, manage and spearhead our product sales in a billion-dollar industry. We need someone to develop a clear and ambitious sales strategy developing our roadmap of which sectors to target, how to enter markets and deliver on this.
The role requires close alignment with production and technology putting together sales and market led product roadmap requirements such that we develop the right products at the right time.
We are looking for someone with experience in leading sales activities and someone who wants to make an impact and lead a growing team with the company.
We are taking an innovative sales team into a period of operationally led growth and need a technically minded sales leader to grow the revenue of the business.
Beyond this we need input into our pricing strategy, point of sale and taking full responsibility for our revenue targets.
Essential requirements:
Reporting into the Valves General Manager, this critical role will help drive the company into overall profitability and growth. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in leading a sales team within B2B sales
- A structured, organised, and data led approach to drive strategy, decisions, and sales decisions
- Track record of delivering revenue growth
- High level of structure and sales process
- Strong reporting skills
- 5 years of leadership experience
Beneficial requirements:
- Technical experience in hardware engineering e.g., industrial, aerospace, automotive
- 10 years of experience in sales or equivalent
- Crossover in hydraulics industry
- Experience entering new industries and markets
- Track record of delivering hockey stick style revenue growth
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a clear sales strategy to deliver on aggressive sales targets entering new sectors and markets at the right time with the right approach
- Lead the sales team to deliver on revenue targets based on sales and margin targets
- Manage and grow a team of Technical Sales team members to ensure they deliver on targets, achieve personal growth, and uphold the values of Domin.
- Develop sales tools and processes to enable structured, repeatable and reliable sales
- Grow sales into new markets, new sectors and increase our sales volume and margin
- Take on 100% responsibility for revenue targets within the valves business unit
- Lead and motivate the sales team to create a competitive and collaborative environment for the team to thrive and deliver on targets
- Generate individual targets for the team to promote overall KPI growth
- Maintain and deliver on our brand values and brand throughout the sales journey for our team and customers
