We are looking for a driven and self-motivated motor design engineer to join our team.
They will be responsible for the overall design of the motors which form an integral part of our products. This will include analysing customer and system requirements, making design proposals against those requirements, simulating and iterating the electromagnetic design, working with other departments to deliver a complete design and working with suppliers to deliver final hardware. They will have the opportunity to work with and be supported by highly experienced engineering and production teams.
The motor design engineer will contribute to dynamic modelling of the systems the motors form a part of and to the design of control algorithms for these systems and the tuning of these systems. They will use these models to qualify their proposed motor designs and overall system performance against requirements throughout the product lifecycle. They will work on products from concept stage through to volume production, including established and blank sheet designs across our valve and systems capabilities.
The successful candidate will be proactive in proposing and delivering appropriate solutions across the product lifecycle and demonstrate an ability to manage their workload effectively to meet project goals. They will have an eye for detail and combine broad and deep knowledge to work effectively with complex systems.
