We are looking for a driven and self-motivated senior electronics engineer to join our team. Domin are developing several new and exciting products which apply our technology across a variety of industries including aerospace, marine and automotive. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to take ownership of the electronics hardware design across a range of products and projects. They will adapt existing designs, incorporate novel solutions, and propose new concept designs to meet customer needs across a range of challenging environments. The successful candidate will be proactive in proposing and delivering appropriate solutions and demonstrate an ability to manage their workload effectively and delegate work to junior engineers to meet project goals. They will have an eye for detail and combine broad and deep knowledge to work effectively with complex systems. They will work on products from concept stage through to volume production and will have the opportunity to work with and be supported by highly experienced engineering and production teams.
Essential Requirements:
- A proven skillset covering mixed signal electronic circuit design, simulation, and test
- Schematic capture and PCB design using an industry leading ECAD package
- Experience of DFM, DFT, including working with internal and external suppliers to deliver prototypes, take those prototypes through a certification and verification process, and deliver the product into a volume production environment
- Previous technical leadership experience throughout the electronic product lifecycle
- Lab skills including measurement and PCBA rework
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to plan their time, manage workload to meet project goals and to solve problems inside and outside their area of expertise
- 5+ years relevant industry experience
- Degree level education in Electronics, Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics, or closely related subject
Beneficial Requirements:
- Experience with Altium Designer including design lifecycle management in Altium 365
- Experience developing hardware for motor control for a variety of motor types and power levels
- Experience designing systems beyond the PCBA – cable harnesses, mechanical integration, designing to customer level system requirements
- Experience working to ISO26262, ISO61508, DO-254 or other safety standards
- Programming experience, ideally including C++ and Python
- FPGA design using VHDL or other hardware description language
- An understanding of control theory and its application to electronic, hydraulic and/or mechanical systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Take technical leadership for the electronics design aspects of projects assigned to you
- This may include delegating work to junior team members as well as managing your own work to achieve project goals
- Design, prototype and test electronic circuits and assemblies for existing and new
products across a variety of application industries - Design and deliver test processes and equipment to validate production build of electronic assemblies
- Collaborate within project teams to plan work and monitor progress towards delivery milestones.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes and working practices as the business grows and enters new markets

- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver world leading products
- Take part in peer design review processes
- Provide guidance and coaching to junior team members
- You will be required to attend the production and development facility in Pucklechurch on regular basis to support the integration of electronic hardware into the end-product during the development process
