This exciting role offers an opportunity to learn new machines, processes and be at the forefront of change within manufacturing. Wire EDM is an incredibly accurate process, and we are constantly looking for new ways to make productivity improvements in this area. We are also continuously improving the processes around the EDM such as hydraulic part measurement and component traceability. At Domin we use wire EDM to carry out our edge-matching process, which enables us to create high-performing valves with a wide range of performance criteria.
This role will be on our late shift and will involve setting and operating the wire EDM machines to cut our hydraulic valve components to bespoke customer specifications. The successful candidate will take the edge data measured through hydraulic testing and input these cuts on the wire EDM. There may also be a requirement to carry out hydraulic testing of the valve components to determine the dimensions of cuts required.
The late shift runs from Mon-Thu 14:00-22:30 and Fri 11:30-17:30, with the first months being carried out on our day shift to enable training with current staff. A shift premium will be applied to a negotiated base salary, with opportunities for overtime also being available and paid at a premium.
