Role Overview
We are looking for a Product Validation Engineer with a desire to work on innovative and exciting products and further their experience.
The successful candidate will have a strong bias towards mechanical engineering. They will be a collaborative and proactive individual who is looking for an opportunity to take ownership of project tasks, run test rigs, interpret data, and contribute towards the company’s ongoing growth by becoming a subject matter expert in testing of hydraulic systems.
Candidates will be rewarded with 56 days off consisting of 22 days to use as they like, 26 fixed days (alternate Fridays off) + public bank holidays. You will be working from our great city centre office and have access to a wide range of other perks and benefits.
Essential requirements:
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in a relevant role
- Able to provide evidence of problem solving ability and application of Engineering principles
- Good practical ability, and experience of executing bodies of testing
- Executing validation plans
- Critical analysis of test data
- Writing test methods and reports
Beneficial requirements:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of metal 3D printing and post-processing.
- Knowledge of conventional machining processes
- Familiar with hydraulic systems and circuit design
- Experience working in either the automotive or aerospace industry
Key responsibilities:
- Ownership of tasks and project deliverables
- Execution of Verification and Validation plans
- Working with multi-disciplinary teams to develop new products
- Writing technical documents, including Test Methods and Reports
- Identifying and owning improvement activities within the Product Validation and Technology teams
