At Domin we have an extensive range of capabilities and are looking for a highly skilled CNC setter-operator to join our team. We have recently acquired a Quaser HX504 horizontal machining center that needs someone to set and operate this new machine. Training on the machine operation, fixture setup and tooling will be provided.
This exciting opportunity will offer the successful candidate an opportunity to be at the forefront of our production expansion, initially producing tens of units per week and eventually transitioning to hundreds per week. The role will be during the day shift which runs Mon-Thu 07:30-16:00 and Fri 07:30-13:30. There may also be opportunities for overtime paid at a premium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating horizontal machining center, including pre-setting tooling, adjusting offsets, and setting parts in fixtures
- Using inspection tooling to verify component conformance
- Interpreting part drawings and following work instructions
- Interacting with MRP system
Essential Requirements:
- 5 or more years’ experience setting and operating CNC milling machines with Fanuc controller for metallic machining
- Great computer literacy
- Competent using measurement equipment such as verniers, micrometres and bore gauges
- A positive attitude and strong desire for continuous improvement
Beneficial Requirements:
- Completed an apprenticeship
- Experience setting and operating Horizontal Milling machines
- Ability to perform online and offline programming
- Experience working with Renishaw probing
- Previous experience operating and programming Coordinate Measurement Machines
